ILASA corporate sponsorship opportunities

Corporate sponsors of ILASA benefit in three ways:

  1. Marketing exposure on ILASA’s website and at its events.
  2. The opportunity to network with the membership in order to establish business contacts
  3. By gaining individual membership for a set number of its employees, depending on the type of sponsorship chosen.


Individual members of ILASA benefit from the following:

  1. Receiving a monthly electronic newsletter.
  2. Receiving a copy of Urban Green File magazine in alternate months.
  3. Receiving a copy of the Urban Green File e-mail bulletin fortnightly.
  4. Access to a SACLAP-approved CPD programme for each year.

Corporate sponsorship categories:

Corporate sponsors receive exclusive marketing opportunities from ILASA. They also have the opportunity to nominate a stipulated number of their employees for individual ILASA membership. Individual membership will be allocated in accordance with the relevant categories stipulated in the ILASA constitution.

Corporate sponsorship categories include: 

  • Patron sponsorship
  • Client-body sponsorship
  • Company sponsorship (reserved for landscape architectural firms)
  • Associated company sponsorship
  • Contractor sponsorship
  • Supplier sponsorship
  • Institutional sponsorship 

Patron sponsorship (by invitation only)

Apart from membership for three of its employees, the company will be recognised as a ‘patron sponsor’ by ILASA with the associated marketing benefits. The company and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

Marketing benefits include: 

  • Recognition as a patron sponsor, and therefore event sponsor at ILASA’s main event of the year (Awards of Excellence or Conference).
  • Recognition as a patron member on all official ILASA correspondence (letter heads, monthly newsletter, ILASA website, awards and conference correspondence, booklets etc)
  • Free exhibition space in the foyer of each major ILASA event during the year
  • Free seating/delegate pass for 3 employees at the major ILASA event of the year (either Awards of Excellence or Conference)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘patron sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the patron member’s own letterheads, logos or correspondence 

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the patron sponsorship fee is R35 000.

Client-body sponsorship

Apart from membership for some of its employees, a client-body sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits: 

  • An advertisement listing on the ILASA website
  • Recognition as a client-body sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘client-body sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the company’s letterheads, logos or correspondence.  

Large client-body sponsor 

This will allow the sponsor to nominate up to 8 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for additional employees will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for its employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘client-body sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the large supplier sponsorship fee is R20 000.

Medium-sized client-body sponsor

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 6 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 7 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 7 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘client-body sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the medium-sized supplier sponsorship fee is R17 000.

Small client-body sponsor

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 4 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 5 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 5 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘client body sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the small supplier sponsorship fee is R13 000.

Company sponsorship (reserved for landscape architectural firms)

Apart from membership for some of its employees, a company sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits:

  • Recognition as a company sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘client-body sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the company’s letterheads, logos or correspondence.  

Large or multi-disciplinary firms

This will allow the firm to nominate up to 8 employees to become individual ILASA members. Membership for additional employees will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for its employees, the firm will be recognised as a ‘company sponsor’’ by ILASA with the associated marketing benefits. The firm and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the large company sponsorship fee is R11 000.

Medium-sized firms

This will allow the firm to nominate 6 employees to become individual members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 7 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 7 employees, the firm will be recognised as a ‘company sponsor’ by ILASA with the associated marketing benefits. The firm and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the medium-sized company sponsorship fee is R9 500.

Small-sized firms

This will allow the firm to nominate 4 employees to become individual members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 5 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 5 employees, the firm will be recognised as a ‘company sponsor’ by ILASA with the associated marketing benefits. The firm and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

Micro-sized firms

This will allow the firm to nominate 2 employees to become individual members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 3 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 3 employees, the firm will be recognised as a ‘company sponsor’ by ILASA with the associated marketing benefits. The firm and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the small-sized company sponsorship fee is R3 000.

Associated company sponsorship

This category of sponsorship is reserved for other professional built-environment consultancies such as engineers, architects, town planners and urban designers.

Apart from membership for some of its employees, a client-body sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits:

  • Recognition as an associate company sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)

Contractor sponsorship

This page is reserved for contractors of both hard- and soft landscaping (landscape contractors, civil engineering contractors and subcontractors.

Apart from membership for some of its employees, a supplier sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits: 

  • An advertisement listing on the ILASA website
  • Recognition as a supplier sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘supplier sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the company’s letterheads, logos or correspondence.

Large contractor sponsor 

This will allow the sponsor to nominate up to 8 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for additional employees will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for its employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘contractor sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the large supplier sponsorship fee is R15 000.

Medium-sized contractor sponsor

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 6 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 7 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 7 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘contractor sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the medium-sized supplier sponsorship fee is R12 000.

Small contractor sponsor

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 4 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 5 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 5 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘contractor sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the small supplier sponsorship fee is R9 000.

Supplier sponsorship

This category is available to any type of supplier to the landscape architectural industry – for example nurseries or manufacturers and agents of irrigation equipment, street furniture, paving etc.

Apart from membership for some of its employees, a supplier sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits: 

  • An advertisement listing on the ILASA website
  • Recognition as a supplier sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘supplier sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the company’s letterheads, logos or correspondence.  

Large supplier sponsor 

This will allow the sponsor to nominate up to 8 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for additional employees will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for its employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘supplier sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the large supplier sponsorship fee is R20 000.

Medium-sized supplier sponsor 

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 6 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 7 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 7 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘supplier sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the medium-sized supplier sponsorship fee is R17 000.

Small supplier sponsor

This will allow the sponsor to nominate 4 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for an additional employee (max 5 people per firm in this category) will cost R600 per person per annum. Apart from membership for up to 5 employees, the organisation will be recognised as a ‘supplier sponsor’ by ILASA with the related marketing benefits. The organisation and its employees will qualify for preferential rates for any events or additional sponsorships available from ILASA.

For the financial year August 2010 – July 2011 the small supplier sponsorship fee is R13 000.

Institutional sponsorship

This category is reserved for academic institutions such as universities, colleges and industry bodies (councils, institutes and clubs).

Apart from membership for some of its employees, an institutional sponsor will receive the following marketing benefits: 

  • An advertisement listing on the ILASA website
  • Recognition as an institutional sponsor at the major ILASA event of the year (conference or awards function)
  • The right to use the payoff line ‘institutional sponsor of ILASA’ on any of the company’s letterheads, logos or correspondence.

Large institutional sponsor 

This will allow the sponsor to nominate up to 8 employees to become individual associate members of ILASA. Membership for additional employees will cost R600 per person per annum.
