Membership

ILASA offers individual membership in line with the categories prescribed in its constitution. However, ILASA also offers corporate sponsorship opportunities and companies who become sponsors of ILASA automatically qualify for a certain number of individual memberships for their staff. 

Individual membership categories:

Professional Membership:

Any person registered with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP) as a Professional Landscape Architect / Technologist / Technician / Assistant.

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual membership fee is R700.

Graduate Membership:

Any person holding a recognised degree or diploma in landscape architecture, but who is not yet professionally registered with SACLAP, although such a member could be registered with SACLAP as ‘in training’

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual membership fee is R700.

Associate Membership:

Any person who is committed to the advancement of landscape architecture.

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual membership fee is R700.

Student Membership:

Any person studying in the field of landscape architecture or technology at any tertiary education institution.

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual student membership is free.

Fellow Membership:

Any Professional or Graduate Member on whom the honour of life membership has been conferred by the NEC for the outstanding service he/she has rendered to the advancement of landscape architecture and/or the Institute.

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual fellow membership is free.

Honorary Membership:

Any person who is not eligible for Professional or Graduate membership but who is a person of distinction whom the NEC so elects.

 •  For the financial year August 2011 – July 2012 the individual honorary membership is free.
